Hi everyone!
Recently, I have seen quite a few contests pass through on Old CP. From credit comps to mod comps, the contests are loved by lots of our fellow users! Because of what's recently been happening, I have decided to share with you some tips on doing well/winning!
Tip 1 - Listen out!
A good way to start off is to keep your eyes and ears open, you never know when one will turn up! If competitions are being held by a member of staff, you should get a few days notice if it's major. If it's smaller, like a minor credit comp, then there could be a few hours notice. If you follow this tip, you will have a better chance of doing tip 2 better, with more time!
Tip 2 - Get organised!
This is a good tip to follow if you aim for a podium result! If a competition has been announced and you want to join in, it's best to get organised as quick as you can. By doing this, you can form a team. The quicker you start out, the more likely you are to get team members. If the contest doesn't include teams, then you can plan what time to get on (10 mins before is good) and choose a uniform if needed!
Tip 3 - Follow instructions/control your team!
If you successfully arrive at the contest on time, you need to take note on what's going on, and follow any instructions given. If you don't listen, you won't know what to do, giving you little chance of getting anywhere! Also, you need to get your teams attention. There's nothing worse than running an out of control team! If you don't do this in a mod comp, you're not in a good position.
If your team is under control, or your patiently waiting for instructions, you're ready to compete!
I hope this helps, and good luck in your competitions!
