Hey everyone!

Being a good leader is one of the important skills you need to become a moderator, possibly even an administrator. I have some top tips for you, and maybe someday, you might be a leader yourself!

1 - Determination.

A good leader must have the determination and the strong work ethic to push forward with things even when they seem impossible. The rest of the group will be looking to the leader, so the leader must always show that attitude of never giving up and being determined to get the project completed on time, with a good outcome.

2 - Innovative mind

Leaders have to be able to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions to problems that are likely to occur at some point. Innovation is the key to getting ahead of the competition, and it is often up to leaders to show their innovative spirit and put forward an idea that really sets you apart from the competition.

3 - Be part of the group.

A leader cannot simply talk a good game and expect the group to follow. A leader must be able to follow their own advice, or they will be seen as a leader that only cares about what they do themselves, and no one will want to follow their words of wisdom. A leader leads mainly by actions and secondly by words, and it is a good idea to always keep that in mind.

4 - Care about those in your group.

A truly good leader will always genuinely care about the well being of every single person in their group. People don't want to follow someone who doesn't care about them or their life. Take an interest in everything people in your group are doing and show them you understand and care. If you successfully show your care, you should even be able to improve communication skills.

5 - Confidence and humility.

I know these two might not always go together, but in the case of a good leader they need to. You must be confident in order to lead successfully, but you also must always stay humble. A leader who loses their humility is a leader who is set to be bound to be humbled at some point in the future. Be confident and humble at the same time! The worst leader is a non confident leader. You need to make sure to be confident and humble to communicate well and grab attention!
