Hey there!
There have been some recent posts asking you your opinion. Some of them have had small debates whether it's favourtism or not. In this post, I will go over what favouritism actually is, and what sort of posts aren't classed as it.
To be favouritism:
A post containing favouritism is mainly when you are being asked an opinion. If it's asking you to pick out a favourite person from a group/list such as: moderators, it's clearly favouritism. Anything asking you to decide on a favourite user in any way is unacceptable. Yes, you can have a favourite mod, but saying ".... is my favourite mod!" turns what you are posting/saying into favouritism.
If it's not favourtism:
If you make a post asking for people's opinion, it isn't automatically favouritism! Any post asking for example 'Who inspires you' isn't classed as favourtism because your not being asked to pick out a favourite, or choose a person from a list. If you say ".... really inspires me!" that's fine, as long as you don't say ".... inspires me more than .... does".
I hope this clearly explains favouritism! If I missed anything, or I'm wrong for some reason, let me know in the comments! Also, feel free to ask questions
~Archie.

So what your saying is that saying who your favorite mod is out loud, that is favoritism. But keeping it in your head isn't.
Yes. People have favourite things in life. However, if you give this mod full attention, and ignore the others, that can also be bad. You might give this mod tones of credits and none to the others - favouritism.

You got it all wrong. Favoritism is having a favorite person, always favoring them no matter what. You say that it's from users to mods, but it's the other way around. Moderators are usually the ones who have a certain person who they always favor. What you are explaing event though it's incorrect, you are actually defining a suck-up. I BELIEVE you know what a suck up is, a person who just says nice things to someone of a higher rank to get his name known or even get promoted himself and they always use the excuse of saying they just want to be nice. I'm not trying to offend ANYONE, so please don't take this comment as a offense. I hope this was helpfull.
We are not your enemy.

Yes, it can be the other way around too. A mod can have a favourite user, and thay sometimes happenes.

Wow achieve this is an amazing post! I see you put much effort in them, which makes posts interesting. So favortism would be for example, "Dave is my favorite mod" and not favoritism is, "Larry really inspires me...", correct?
Sadie was here, 12/27/2018. I love you, have a lovely day.
