I don't see the point of banning people because they'll just make a new account and it'll start all over again.I mean,banning them makes sense its just the fact that they can just create a new account in the snap of a finger.

I understand your thoughts, and I believe you have a point. Yet, banning is basically a punishment. You are able to create a new account, but can not access your other user that got banned. Usually when players that broke the rules are banned on one of their accounts, they stop immediately. But if it continues, they will get a higher penalty. Although, users may be able to be forgiven, yet it is their choice if they have thought about what they have done to the DSGHQ. In addition, it teaches rule-breakers that if they go against the regulations, they will be punished and may not be able to play again. There are large possibilities that may take place when you bully, swear, etc... But I can assure you, banning has a purpose and that is to make those who hurt the community, learn a lesson so they will not repeat the action again.

I understand that. It's just the fact some people just wont stop.That's one of the reasons why i quit oldcp. I know some people might be like, Ouote Unquote "If you dont play anymore then why are you complaining?" It's just something random that came to me.

I disagree for the most part of this discussion. Banning is a punishment as Live said in the above comment, but that punishment can be forgiven so more or less banning penguins/users is a genius add on. Creating a new account when banned give that specific user the opportunity to change their given life around. Believe me many users after being banned make new accounts and try obtaining a higher rep of themselves. I believe us staff members are skilled enough to notice when a banned user makes a new account because they act similar, and it shows up soon enough on their IP. So if a banned user continues to be bad we have the power to IP-Ban them (ban them forever) so the banning system is actually something we do need because IP-Banning each user would be stupid of us, and arresting every bad user wouldn't be smart. So I do believe banning should remain here for the rest of the time we have here.

Not only they can ban, but they can IPban too which means that the user who is getting banned, can't make anymore accounts.

Erm. I think we got that clear now... Sadie's answer was best to me ,but Live's just made me frustrated because it seems like she kept saying the same thing over and over.
