Aye, I've heard that somebody has seen Mais as an iceghost. Mais was found dead in the buried vaults, killed by iceghosts. When you get frozen by an iceghost, you're turned into one. But you can't do much harm... it's just that when users touch you, you're not allowing users to move for 5 seconds. This is where my theory steps in.
When you're turned into an iceghost, I believe that your actual penguin is dead, but your iceghost version of your penguin is just a clone. This is probably what happened to Mais, and Mais was a former BH leader. The blackhawks are the enemies of iceghosts. The IG's and the BH's are trying to rule OldCP, so this would make sense.
To put this in a nutshell, your penguin dies when you get turned into an IG, but the iceghost version of yourself is a clone that replaces your penguin.
