Hey,
It has come to my attention that a few users have been using backup accounts to like posts made by their main account so they could have a higher reputation. This is against the rules. The point of the reputation system is to show which users are liked/veterans vs those are newer/not as liked. There is even a possibility of having negative reputation, indicating the user is very distrusted and disliked.

By adding reputation to yourself you are breaking multiple rules ( http://forums.damenspike.com/view/161 ) and proving that you are very untrustworthy.

If you are caught spam liking/disliking your posts or other peoples posts on backup accounts you will be banned on all your backup accounts and your reputation will be reset on your main account.

I hope those of you who have been adding reputation to yourself stop.

Thank you for informing us. It has been a problem in the past, and even now, and yet people just do it still. It is against the rules, and they know it. People don't think they are doing anything wrong, and some just act innocent. It is just wrong, and no one can trust you if you lie, or cheat reputation, or cheat period. Once again, thanks for informing us, I hope this sends a message to the people who are doing it, and ones who are thinking about doing it in the future.

I just wanted to say Thank you to Tennis for reminding us about this rule.

Cheating reputation is unacceptable. If you're thinking about making an account to give you reputation, then stop right there. You know it's breaking the rules.

I have two accounts, (Kara & Crowley), though I am not using them for reputation. You can check everything, but I wouldn't do that. I do see your point though, some people make multiple accounts for reputation.

Who would have done this?
This is very wrong indeed.
Some people abuse it way way too much....

(I think the security of DSGHQ needs to be amped up and we need to have more safety pro-cautions Btw)

Thanks for posting this Tennis, I'm sure it will help the fake reputation. But I don't think many users read the rules, kind of like the terms and conditions. It' great you pointed this out for that reason. Hopefully not many users do not have that case.

Wait, if someone uses a back-up account,
would it have the same ip?

I hate that people try to cheat the forums, your gonna be found out one way or another everyone

I agree. People making backup accounts just for reputation is just... stupid. Those of you with backup accounts liking your own posts for reputation, please stop.
