The rose is resembles and symbolizes wisdom. The meaning of it to me, is love and hate. The thorns of the rose are painful and hurtful just like hate. The red pedals are lovely and smooth just like love. The pedals of the rose is thick which makes love much bigger than hate. There are many pedals on the rose which makes lots more love than hate. Just remember that. :)
