Ok so, I'm going to start making a series named Words of advice. Idk if someone has done it before & if someone is I'm sorry for copying you. So this weeks topic is the Moderator competition. I'm going to talk about like Being leader is really a big responsiblity, Being patient on your team & patient with Damen getting to the office, how to never give up, & more fun stuff!

WARNING: THIS IS A LONG POST SO IF YOU CAN'T READ LONG Posts, this isn't the post for you.

WORDS OF ADVICE #1 Moderator competition

As you guys know there was suppost to be a moderator competition last night & people started going crazy over how they're missing it. But if you scroll down to the bottom of the community index it said 23 users online. Do you think that if there was a moderator competition going on that 23 users would be on the forums. Sorry if you never knew that there was a list of like 23 users online & all you have to do is scroll to the bottom of the community index then it will say how many users are online & what the users names are. Well what a person said last night was that if you are impatient then that shows you don't have the skills for moderator. And he's right, you have to have alot of patience to be a moderator even on the forums. And all because of that post that he made (And previous good ones) I made him a Master. He truley deserved it because he had alot of patientce of what I could see & he was outstanding with previous posts I mean he had complete sentences, spelled right, & even more! Ok, now for inside the moderator competition last month, Damen was late one day & before he came people were saying that he wasn't coming or saying that we should start without him. My team (The Freehawks) were trying to tell everybody to be patient & wait for him to get here. So while people were screaming all over the place our team was just trying to stop a riot from happening. At one point I had to say & I quote "Who cares if he's 30 minutes late! You guys are lucky that we even have mod competitions from the way some of you guys act!" I didn't want to be mean or anything but some people on here are rude & I just wanted everybody that was being rude to stop.

Well there are always leaders & co-leaders on teams right? Well i'm going to tell you why their job is so important to their team & how sometimes (Depending on who's on your team) how hard it is. Some teams let people they've never seen before into a team & they end up losing because of him. Well it never happend to me but that's why I do try-outs. I don't just let anybody on my team, I have to be strict sometimes. even have a limit on how many people can join my team! I mean I let those that I know & trust in without them having to try-out. & I also watch to see how good they are on testing people during try-outs. Not just that but those who are good with people. The person that was testing the most seriously & was doing alot of other good work was a Freehawk named Chopper. So he is co-leader on the Freehawks this month.

Ok, so you know atleast 5 people quit per mod competition because they lost either in the finals or just the first one eliminated. Well that's not how I roll, I lost the finals 2 times in a row & I'm still playing this game. I mean sure I was mad when I lost but I never gave up. I kept trying & then the next month I made it to the finals again. And I lost but I still never gave up & now i'm trying my hardest again. And I'm going to keep the cycle going. And I encourage everybody who has lost in the past to never give up! And that applys to everything not just the mod competition. So I'm going to wrap up saying to "Never give up & never surrender." I heard that from a person on Wipeout

Also if you liked reading this post please leave a like in honor of the 5th annual Moderator Competition.

Have a happy mod competition from November 2013 ~Key123

Nice post! I totally agree, a true moderator would need patience, you would probably get demoted instantly if you didn't! If there was a moderator without patience, he/she would be bugging the other mods, and would be a bad role model for the game.

Thanks for reading! -Archie
