The last of me
chapter 1
When I wake up I’m surrounded of peoples bodies, I don’t know what happened I barely remember my name but I know one thing I need to find my sister. I stand up and shake my head to get the dust out of it, then I doubt of what could have happened I have some theories maybe an explosion or a volcano but I couldn’t think of anything else than my little sister. After some seconds I hear a girl cry and I think it could be my sister, I run my breath out to find her and I scream “Where are you?!?” I hear nothing, this time I scream louder “Where are you!?!” The only thing I could hear is the wind blowing pas my ears she stopped crying now I have no idea where she could be. After hours of standing in the cold wind I finally hear the little girl’s voice she tries to scream but she can only whisper ‘’Help, help” Then is when I realize it’s not my sister but I need to help her anyways .
I run as fast as I can, I finally found her but she just tried to escape from me. “Don’t worry’ I say ‘’I’m here to help you, maybe we could be friends” She smiles and says “Thanks I appreciate that you’re here to help me” There was a long silence but she cuts it out “I’m Chloe what’s your name?” I stand there without moving and I explain “ I don’t remember it the only thing I know is that I’m a girl about 15 or 16 years old and that I need to find my sister and help her” The girl stares at me and hugs me I smile and hug her back. After a few seconds I ask her “So how old are you?” She looks at me with a miserable face and starts crying I get worried and before I can talk she says “ I don’t know who my parents are I don’t know when is my birthday I don’t know my name I just invented the name Chloe I don’t know if I’m 6, 7, 8, 9, 5 I don’t know what’s 1+1 I don’t even know what desperate means” I can’t help giving her a hug and tell her that everything is going to be alright but I can’t.
We look at each other in an awkward silence then Chloe says “I’m hungry do you have any food or do you have water?” I shake my head and say “No” She looks at me with a disappointed face and that’s when I cut it out giving her a smile and continued the discussion “But we can go and look for some food” she frowns and affirms that there is no food around here. I think I’m mocking her maybe that’s why she isn’t talking to me. At night I went to look for food but first I had to be sure that she wouldn’t follow me…
