Herobrine is told to be notch's brother. Herobrine was actually steve at the time. Steve and Notch were best friends. They would build together all the time. Until one day Herobrine betrayed Notch and Notch had no choice but to end Herobrine for good. He made an update where he had removed herobrine from the game's files. But even that never worked. Herobrine now haunts players on minecraft. Making suspicious sitings in people's videos.
