If you're a person who always wondered what's behind oldCP and how it was made, and always thought behind a game and how it was created? Well the answer is programming.
Honestly I'm not that good at programming myself, but I push myself everyday.

Lots of schools teach you how to do the basics of programming, but they don't go anywhere in to the advanced stuff, that's why I think you should push yourself to learn more!

Coding is really powerful, and you could do loads of stuff. You can create from robots in games ( bots ) to actual games, and making a multiplayer game, etc.

If you want to create your own multiplayer browser games, you'd probably want to use HTML5, look at this as an example.


You can create loads of different games and make them multiplayer, you can also try make your game become famous.

You can also create CP raid bots, which logs in loads of bots.


First you'd probably decide whether you would want to design websites with HTML & CSS & Javascript or make your own scripts.

I'll put up a list to help you guys.

1. Codeacademy
It's amazing & it's free! It has Interactive courses on how to program. This is really good for the basics since it explains specifically & it's extremely easy to understand. But beware, codeacademy is only for the basics.

2. Khan Academy

Khan academy is pretty good since it goes a little further than code academy, but not as far as you're supposed to. It doesn't teach you anything about networking ( which is what is needed to make bots etc ) but they are very descriptive. If you'd like to learn Javascript, I'd recommend you go straight to khan academy.

Code School

I highlighted this one gold because it costs money for all the "good" courses. But if you're willing to spend some bucks, I'd really recommend picking this one! It's got loads of good feedback, they teach a lot, and have video courses with it, and the make it much simpler to understand! If you were not sure what programming language to choose, I'd probably take Node.js from codeschool but you can check the description of every language, and pick whatever fits you.

4. Docs

I highlighted this red, because it's probably the best out of all of them. It's not meant to be entertaining, but it teaches you every single thing there is in a programming language. The docs are probably the most helpful/best ones out there, but they can be a little intimidating or boring. The docs teach you every thing you need to know, from what the classes do and how they can be used etc. It teaches every thing in a programming language broken down.

( If you want to go to the docs of a programming language, just search up the programming languages name then docs. )

I learnt CSS from the work of Damen. I look at the styles and the way he codes when it comes to CSS and I try work on a style similar, etc.

Great post, but you forgot something very important, you can't make a multiplayer game without a singleplayer version!

This is so cool, I think a future in coding would be really fun

Yeah, you'd need to create the game first, then implement the networking w/ sockets or whatever module you are using. Best programming language for servers: node.js ( realtime & fast )
