I hate soccer. My sister does soccer practices, and unfortunately, I had to come along. I brought my favorite book to keep me entertained.
"We're here!" Mom says.
I get out of the Jeep and head toward the field. I slowly put my scarf around my neck, and crossed my arms. It was chilly and windy outside. The sun wasn't out, it looks like it has been raining. I sit down on the bleachers, alone.
I decide to start reading my book. Ten minutes later I looked up at the field. No one was there. No field was there. It was deserted.
I was sitting on some park bench in front of a big cornfield. Last time I checked, my sister was kicking the ball, that kept on going to the sides of the net.
Without hesitation, I ran to the small road. I ran about a quarter-mile, and still long, endless cornfields were ahead of me. It was more empty than a ghost town. In fact, I heard that faint 'woooo' of the wind swirling around me.
"Mom!" I yelled frantically. Nothing answered.
"MOM!" I screamed louder and louder. All I heard was a bit of a echo.
I sprinted back to the park bench in the middle of no where, and curled up on the bench. I frantically flipped through the pages of my book, pinching myself, trying to wake up, as I kept on yelling 'mom', which seemed like forever. The weird thing is, the pages of my book were empty, and I had a pencil with me. The pencil was yellow with a blue eraser, glowing in the dark air. The eraser was changing colors- red to blue. The pencil lead was changing colors as well, from red to green to orange to yellow to purple...
Thanks for reading my story. Part 2 soon!
