Hey guys,

I'm on my one week break now but I'm making this post to announce changes I've already been planning for the new year and want to make it known now.

The following changes will be made to OldCP in 2019. I know this will improve the way things work, trust me.
Once all of this has been planned out fairly and with considering your input, the changes will be made on Monday 7th January 2019

- Death will be made permanent again -
Advantages:
> Make it possible to enforce the rules against murder
> Increase the amount of successful trials against murderers by reducing the amount of murders (currently very high thus killers never get trialed)
> Restore order by increasing the value of accounts

Many of you didn't want this to happen because its a pain for the CO and Knight Captains to re-promote dead users. It's also a pain to have to create and use a new account.
The solution? Don't die.
But making death permanent without doing the next thing would be a mistake...

- Stop the production of lightsabers and reduce their use -
Advantages:
> Less accidental death
> More balanced fights
> Knights (North and South) will be relevant again

- Reduce the number of armed users -
There are too many armed users who don't hold a rank. Limiting this will help order, but that doesn't mean disarm all unranked users of course.

- DRAKE Military Regulation Of Militaries -
This includes:
- Another tax will be applied to all militaries at the cost of 150,000 gold.
- All militaries will require a full description of their soldiers and a review will be done to see if it is safe.
- Militaries may appeal any decision made.

- Wooden Swords Will Return -
Advantages:
- Users can practice with weapons.
- Users can help and be involved when fighting enemies.

Ok, that's all, no need to make it any more complicated. What are your thoughts?

if you want to make death permanent then stop the random explosions or whatever that kill off all the users online/in a single room for CZ, its a pain for the users and a stupid way to die because you can't defend yourself. I can see if it's a planned bomb explosion and users were made aware of it before it happens but anything else is dumb

I hope unranked people who fairly bought their weapons aren’t unarmed from this. I earned my chance cards and gold for my scythe fairly, and I don’t want it taken away for not having a rank.

sounds good imo and i think we can all suck up the death thing, but the one thing most users are angry w is that all of our gold was divided by 10 + we have a military tax n as it is a lot of the militaries got their gold taken away.

one question. lets say you're a user whose armed because you used chance cards and gold to buy weapons from the royal armoury. if you die and make a new account will you have to purchase those weapons from scratch? or would there be a way to transfer them to your new account?

If death is being made permanent, I suggest bringing the /import command back, so we can keep everything we've earned.

If death is permanent, can everyone get revived twice a year or something? It really sucks when your favorite account lies dead for more than a year (this happened to me last time).
