OldCP currently has 2-3 active administrators, and that is the only reason the Empire hasn't collapsed. If you recall Milan's invasion towards Providence and Das, which are both colonies of the Empire as of right now, what exactly did Major do? That's right, nothing. It was Chelsey who did everything for the Empire and Major just sat there. Similarly, Abushekaus has been doing a lot more for DSGHQ already and he just came back. You can summarize Major's whole reign with one picture (credit: Preston)
Let's go back to the main question of this thread, is Major really Emperor? My answer is No. With that being said, if he isn't really an Emperor, why does he have the rank? Why doesn't someone doing more for the community have the rank instead, like Abushekaus or Chelsey? I find it unfair for them because they do all the hard work for the community while Majorhalo does NOTHING.
So my question to the community is, do you really want to continue serving an Emperor that shouldn't be it, or do you want someone who does something for the community to lead you?

I believe that this a simple situation that exemplifies the opposition between de jure and de facto concepts. Both come from latin, de jure means "in law", which means that a certain situation is legally recognized, therefore, it is irrelevant if it exists in reality due to the legal process. In contrast, de facto (in fact) describes a situation that exists in reality, but that is not recognized by a legal system.

Ah, I must kindly disagree. My son may be young, he needs guidance from the admins and EH. One day he can lead. Great things come from small beginnings. Please have patience in him. We deeply appreciate your help.
Of course, and this discussion was for conflicting opinions and that is why I say thank you for your opinion.
However, I must reply to that and I say, he may indeed be a leader one day, but should he not be another rank UNTIL he is ready? Don't get me wrong I am willing to give him a chance, but it has been months and I have seen no difference! I believe someone else should at the very least be Regent, if not Emperor fully until he has been shown the ropes and is ready to lead.

I agree, there could be a better person right NOW. But I intended the monarchy to be imperfect at times to make the game more captivating and challenging.

Interesting design. However, considering the contempt with the users, things have to change one way or another

Look Man, I Try My Best To Help You Guys, I was NOT notified that Abu And Chelsey have dealt With this problem, I would’ve helped and i did by arresting Team and Demoting her. I am trying SO hard to be a great emperor for you guys. I try SO hard to keep this empire in tact. please Understand this, This is a BIG deal for me.
Maybe let go of some Colonies so you have less on your plate and form alliances with them? Providence, and the North both have strong leaders and can hold their own and don't really need an Empire to rule them, and you don't really seem to benefit from them either. I also think if you limited the Empires control to maybe the main land you could further focus more on those two isles and do a better job over all. We understand you're doing your best, but maybe it'd be easier to let go of some isles.

We're not talking about putting a tyrant on the throne, the simple fact of the matter is that other people can do the job better and aren't tyrants. Maybe when Major gains enough experience he can lead, but I personally don't think that he's ready.
