Salutations,
This discussion is being created to take the place of the previous Penguin Watch Guide that was posted on the RCHQ. Not much will be changed to this discussion from its previous version. However, I do highly recommend checking this discussion regularly because it will be updated on a regular basis. If you have any questions, comments, and or concerns please do not hesitate to ask.
What's the Penguin Watch? This rank is for trusted users, users who have substantial amounts of sportsmanship and loyalty to the values of OldCP. This rank is for the users who are trusted and are nearly close to becoming an OldCP staff member. This rank is to prepare (undercover) users to deal with much bigger scenarios. Being undercover means that you have no title and NC, the rank is to help assist staff when there is none or when they don't catch up on something. This rank is NOT to be abused!
What can't the Penguin Watch do? Act as a Moderator; this rank doesn't mean you're part of the (actual) staff, therefore you can't share with ANYONE that you have this rank, leaking will result in demotion and/or possible death, which will be planned by the Captains of the Watch. This rank doesn't give you unlimited power.
Layering the Penguin Watch: The Penguin Watch has three significant roles.
What's required of the Penguin Watch? All who decide to contribute as a Penguin Watch MUST follow these requirements to ensure success.
What happens if these requirements aren't followed? If these requirements aren't followed properly multiple things may happen, resulting in a negative action nevertheless. PW that don't follow the requirements will likely be demoted or possibly even executed, us Penguin Watch Captains take pride in having the best Penguin Watch.
The Penguin Watch Oath "Once a brother always a brother." || All PW once promoted are always part of the team, and can NOT be removed unless properly done. According to Damen, these the ways in which a Penguin Watch can be removed.
** PW can't quit or be demoted for rule breaking or inactivity unless put to death. **
How does one achieve this role? If you're curious about applying, these are the specific requirements needed, and also details to be known in order to apply properly.
All applications are to be sent to [email protected] (during a closed vacancy).
For the highest chance of acceptance please apply when the role Penguin Watch is posted on the vacancies.
Penguin Watch Pay: The Penguin Watch does get paid, however, this is always changing. To ensure top-notch details I will only be listing the pay of both the Senior Captain and the Penguin Watch Captain roles. Regular Penguin Watch pay fluctuates and isn't always followed through fully.
Thank you for taking the time in reading this guide, and I commend you on your interest in the Penguin Watch ranks. Once again if you have any questions, comments, and or concerns please never hesitate to ask. Our team of Penguin Watch Captains is here to ensure your experience is nothing less than great. Also if you have any critiques please mention them down below, I'd love to hear them!
