detectives are pointless because crimezone has gotten lazy to the point that there really isn't any kind of mystery to solve which was kind of the point of detectives in the past (writings on the walls, dead bodies, hidden rooms, etc.).

All crimezone is anymore is just fighting, which is what knights are for. If there were actual mysteries to solve, the Crime Office would have a purpose.

Yep, I agree. Same thing happened when I was Inspector and I couldn't do anything to change it.

The Imperial knights handle all the dirty work at this point. So I agree, Detectives have lost their meaning.

I agree, Sled. When I heard way back when that there was going to be change to Crime Zone I was genuinely excited because I was hoping we’d get a new story that would be easier to grasp and that would be way more interesting. The Detective ranks are becoming like Moderator, nobody wants them.

This is the same reason I resigned from Sergeant, it just has no point.

CO has lost its entire purpose because CZ has become just war and slight lore. The lore doesn't even make sense, and has nothing to be solved or analyzed. It's all just between people like Gamer, Rainberry, etc. (No hate to these people) I think a new CZ plot would be so helpful. In all honesty, what should have happened at the end of Dagor was this; the world ended (server went down for like an hour or something), Turin/Gamer 'recreates' the world as a neutral land, and new CZ is born from that point. It would have made so much more sense. All of the Pythas/LOTR lore CZ should be removed and put in the OldCP history books. We should have started a new era after Dagor, without fighting bots and the same CZ we had before.

The same sort of idea repeated makes OldCP very boring. When half of the time it is the same characters, or war where new/innocent users are being killed, it just makes no sense.

In late 2013-2014 when Disney CZ was born, it had actual mysteries to solve, it had a purpose. Now, it is just Knights being killed because they don't have the OP weapons that CZ enemies have. If Damen could actually listen to us about our ideas regarding CZ, things would be more interesting and perhaps people wouldn't log off after being on for 5 minutes. No hate to Damen, but he is super stubborn about change, which is an issue tbh. CZ needs to be changed, it needs to stop revolving the same people after 4 years. It needs to change.

Good post Sled, there's almost 0 debate to be had though, we all know what needs to happen.

Even CO agrees that changes need to happen.

Definitely, this is a consensus in our community: CZ needs changes.
