Hey, I thought since I'm more or less walking away from OldCP I might as well reflect on my time on the game.
I joined OldCP in 2013 or 12 I forgot and what I found was a community about the size as it is now. But things where just getting started, and I was exposed to a motivated staff and a creative young owner who was the age I am now which is sort of weird to think about. Around 2014 things started to blow up, more and more people where joining and things only seemed uphill I was still somewhat unknown and the Empire was eventually formed and this of course changed everything as it added lore and changed the way CZ worked on the game. Come 2015 more users where joining and I finally earned Houseguard, my first rank. I remember when I was promoted I was in the North with a bunch of Knights and we where exploring the North, no maiars, no magic, just some kids playing a penguin game with Swords. I got my first kill that night and I remember how fun it was, it was almost as fun as me killing Lex 3 time tonight with two great friends I've made here. Around 2016 we got this new owner, Charles who turned everything upside down and had a thing for little girls but thats fine because this game has proven time and time again that it is a safe haven for only predators. Then one night, we had some sort of rebellion or whatever where Damen and Sriram died and everything fell into anarchy and everyone was fighting. That was the day OldCP truly died, since then it's only gone downhill. After that, Damen seems to have stopped caring and things haven't ran as smoothly and when the owner stops caring so do the users. But who's to blame him? We bit the hand that was feeding us and now this game is dying and everyones leaving, so honestly yeah I wish I wanted to leave on a positive note but come to think of it I did, I trolled the hell out of Lex so yeah please give me likes.

It's the sad truth that OldCP has gone downhill. Not a lot of people are interested in flash games anymore, so I'm not sure what we can do, unless we get everyone from CPR to OldCP somehow...
The community could still live on through p3d if people just gave it a chance, sure the game has a lot of room for improvement but unlike OldCP it has a lot of potential that sadly seems will go to waste.

I have to respectively disagree. Though flash itself may come to an end, I dont think OldCP (the TRUE Old Club Penguin.. without the empire) ever truly died. It's my belief that OldCP.biz would thrive again if we brought back the things that seemed go get users online.

I am not gonna lie, OldCP isn’t anything as it was when I joined in 2014/15. CZ was so less significant and this lore was only just kickstarted by Mickey and co. Sure it was great fun, CZ, but in moderation. By that, I mean - it’s too big of a thing right now and it really shouldn’t be, because the game shouldn’t revolve around it seeming it has nothing to do with the true conventions of CP. I joined OldCP looking for these conventions, which were there during the era I joined - it’s rapidly declined because of CZ taking over literally everything. It was fun when we all could experience it maybe 1-5 times a month, but now there’s something going on everyday at the North, East, South, West and wherever else this place has got in its lore.
All I’m saying is, CZ shouldn’t be our main “USP.” That won’t get nostalgic Old Club Penguin seekers to join because they want that feel of the good old days, where it was genuine, relaxing Club Penguin. OldCP should be our USP. CZ is just the little bit of icing on the cake, which sadly seems to be crumbling because of the batter, or foundations it was made from/ built on.
