I’d like to add on that I’m rather frustrated about this. And highlight frustrated, please. Because it isn’t Damen’s fault or any other Mod or Admin. You cannot command people to get to know others. But I mean, come on, it’s a social game - take the bloody hint! It’s useless coming online to AFK or ignore others around you. This is a damn community, so let’s bloody act like one!!

(No offence to current/new users who actually want to get to know the community or help old users back in. Shoutouts to you all because I want to meet you all. )

I can't agree more with you. Many people like to talk with their own people, but I make sure to make a mix of talking to different people when I'm on. However, OldCP gets very boring because people are rarely on and things barely happen, but when they do most of the time they are rescheduled. We really need to pull ourselves together, because OldCP is just going to die out at some point. 15 max users online during the day and even on weekends is sad.

Imo why can't we just advertise OldCP to CPR or something? We can also find big communities somehow who want to have Club Penguin back, but go in depth of the twist we have.
We could also use other popular YouTubers to advertise it like we did for Penguin3D, but Penguin3D kind of died out because nothing ever happens. People want action, we need to make action in order to keep users. That's why OldCP was so popular back then, Damen was very active but now he's sort of drifted away and has done other things. We should get a little more administrators and moderators too to be sure everything goes well and so the administrators can be available to do plenty for Damen if he's not around to be sure things are hosted.

If OldCP does eventually die out, I hope Damen can shift his passion into making a new game which so many more people can enjoy together. A game with the same activity and community as OldCP 2013-2017. Bit like Snaildom when it first came out, everyone excited to Beta Test (I was a lucky chosen one) and do these quests together and chill in that Tavern etc

I absolutely agree with you. The activity hasn't been doing good mainly because CZ hasn't been going on much except for more bot fighting, and this and that. Also a lot of this is because of school going on. Das is drac territory atm so I wouldn't recommend trying to talk to people there. I suggest using discord to try and make friends, because thats where everything is really going on. Once OldCP gets active again with CZ, it'll change. Damen's been extremely busy but when he's ready the problem will be easier to solve. Also the thing about old ranked users returning is, they stay in contact with their friends over discord, and stuff and in general with the community. Thats why when they come back it's like they never left.

I completely agree. I'm an old player and member of the community, and I visited in December to find myself sticking around. I think the main reason people haven't been interested in getting to know former users is because the DSGHQ has developed into an isolated environment. Everyone has their own friends already, and they're not into the idea of putting in the effort to get to know someone they haven't met yet. I absolutely love the friends I've made here, don't get me wrong - I've created a lot of lifelong friendships. But to people who don't already know me, I'm like a stranger you pass on the street...practically someone you can see but don't pay much attention to. It makes me a little disappointed to be honest; I miss the fun I used to have here and the laughs I used to have when talking to someone and finding common ground with interests and hobbies. Although this place will always be a great part of my childhood, the drama and poor class/sportsmanship definitely weighs against the likability of it. I hope people can read what you have to say and take it to heart. There's a lot of kind and genuine people here, but you have to look a little hard to find them. Thanks for putting my thoughts into words - really well written!

I understand Damen's lack of motivation. He has tried to do so many other things: for example, the Falling Toblerone game, probably many of you don't even know it. LeoRPG as well, but now it's a dead game. He has also tried to make a new LeoRPG game: LeoRPG2. However, it seems like he stopped working on it. Besides these games, Damen also developed SnailDom, but it was sold to other developers and then shut down. There are other projects, such as SnailsChat but none of them really worked. Why? The DSGHQ community preferred to stay playing OldCP. Obviously, Damen would spend more time on OldCP, however, now the situation is the opposite: people leaving OldCP.

Conclusion: nobody is innocent. Each individual choice has an effect and has brought us to this situation. This malaise is such a shame.

I totally get this, I played most during like 2014-2016 and whenever I've tried to come back it's been extremely hard because it's such a different community now than it was then. I just wanna get involved but it's gotten so hard!

I completely agree with you when I first came back to this community no one really wanted to talk to me or anything but then I started not caring about what anyone thought and I threw so much shade till I got what I wanted and now things are amazing.

I was in the same situation i did something about it and one of my VERY close friends ariana saw me and liked my personality and how I say whats on my mind and commented about it and that was my way back into the community finding her as an amazing friend
