Whatever happened to OldCP? Old Club Penguin.
I’ve come to terms with the fact that CZ helps us stand out in terms of competition from other CPPS’, however I simply cannot understand where it went wrong. Back when I used to be involved, it was all about the whole community coming together and easily catching up on each segment of CZ - whether it was BH or IG (which I think were the best two ‘seasons’ of CZ) everyone was involved and enjoyed it.
I remember the exhilaration of having a CZ character save me, or seeing an invasion and having to calm everyone down so you can beg the admins around you for mod indirectly
, or the Pookie Standard news reports I loved making. There was so much to it.
I can’t lie, I still had my doubts. I still think to this day CZ does take the essence of CP away from OldCP. It’s just not the same. That’s beginning to bleed through now.
CZ is a mess now. No one knows what’s going on. No one knows who’s doing this and that. People who wanna get in have so much to catch up with. Urgh. It’s just shambles. And I personally think that’s the reason why OldCP is inactive now. CZ is now just a select amount of people in this community, there isn’t no collective ness. And also, there’s so many fights because of this and the stuff going on in CZ, which is some very petty stuff.
I think I’ve made this post a few months too late. I’ve had this in me for ages. It’s the reason why I have 0 motivation to go on OldCP, someone who’s enjoyed it for nearly 6 years..
Anyways, post your thoughts (constructively, cos I wanna see both sides without this getting locked).

Sidenote: I just had coffee for the first time (it was really milky though) and it tasted amazing! Defo trying it with less milk. It made me feel so adult-like cos all adults do is drink coffee or tea

If you dont know whats going on, ask. The CZ is very simple. If you dont want to know, then you wont feel part of it. Only the interested ones become part of it.

as much as i respect the conciseness in your reply, cz isn’t gonna be so straightforward to some people. i mean, you probably get this a lot but the old ppl coming back would not have time to catch up and understand everything. sure it is straightforward to most but i’m fighting for the minority so to speak.
again, i do think that’s a great reply though, in terms of helping out those who do have the time to catch up. i still think cz isn’t what it was, and not being a part of it just leaves me and those who feel the same with nothing really. which is another thing, you could improve the game by doing actual oldcp things alongside cz, like themed parties and maybe adding in a few games - so everyone’s happy in a way.

put it this way. the og users of oldcp get older they mature. They get bored of playing club penguin all the time. its just a common thing for people. not just if your playing Oldcp. if your just doing something for so long in general. Like most of the new people here dont really understand most of whats happend in the past and im not a big fan or this new generation community. As much as i respect Damen and how he has made a community where people have friends from around the world. Everything has changed. The drama that i see now is just... stupid. few years back the drama was trying to get someone demoted. or something about a certain someone betraying the community. The iceghost. A penguin dying. Now its just people insulting another individual because they find them annoying. Like i understand as more people come on, things will change. I mean ive been a member of Oldcp in 2013, and forums in 2014. You notice a change. When the blackhawks were a massive threat to oldcp, thats when it got interesting. when bombs were going off. mystery's occurring and it just turned into a war zone, it was exciting. Now correct me if im wrong, nothing really exciting beside GOM has happened. I mean ive been got for a short period of time and im still trying to put the pieces of the puzzle to figure everything out.
