OldCP is a bit like ur Grandma's Sofa.

Take this. Your grandma's squeaky, slippery, uncomfortable sofa. Why does nobody enjoy sitting on it? Grandma is too strict resulting in nobody having a good time.
Take this photo of Frogs. Everyone has fun on Frogs' sofa. Eating, drinking, no cover, putting your feet up. BUT WAIT...
Frogs has now spilled his vintage red wine all over the sofa. It will never come out. The sofa has been ruined for everyone. He should have listened to his mom and not have been so reckless.
Grandma sofa users: Mods who enjoy banning people for little things, Knights arresting unarmed accounts, Detectives removing cz characters that annoy or threaten them, etc.... Nobody having fun!
Sofa stainers: people who kill randoms for "fun", cuss in order to look cool before making their 11th unban request of the week, make jokes at someone else's expense to the point where it becomes bullying. Crossing the line ruins it for everyone as it upsets people, but also gives the grandma users the authority to make everything way more strict than is needed and therefore way less fun.
There will always be people who misbehave in a way that's unacceptable (maybe now less than ever), but over the past few months I feel the grandma clique has really taken over to a point which we have never seen before. Staff generally seem to be more focused on keeping extreme order opposed to keeping things as fun as possible, resulting in people leaving either because they aren't in favour with the friend group of higher ranking people and get sidelined, or deciding to misbehave to an extreme to get some level of enjoyment/revenge.
That being said I respect anyone who keeps the values enforced, I just wish the power to do so was spread around people with varying personalities so that the feeling of bias and authoritarianism wasn't there.
Anyone feel the same?

GOOD THING WE HAVE THE CABINET? RIGHT?
no but actually i agree, i wish we could have more variety in our staff team but unfortunately a lot of the people i'd like to see ranked tend to break the rules a lot more often than those with the personality type of existing moderators
