hey this ain't no hate, no hands are being clapped here, i am giving feedback so damen dont get offended
damen,
forums mail is one of the only ways to contact you (other than email, but we decide to use your forums platform instead because it's just easier).
if people want something the other admins can't provide, they contact you. I have been admin/your EH for so long, I know how the community feels. They have a hard time contacting you, they feel disconnected from you. You may be busy in real life, but going through your forums mail and replying isn't going to kill you, at least once a day. That's why people tell you to check your mail because you don't respond like ever unless you are constantly reminded to do it. when it gets to a point where people tell admins to tell you to check your mail because they know you aren't going to respond otherwise....its kinda sayin something.
Admins are contacted everyday and we know how it is, we have had over 540+ requests through our ticket server which helped take the load off of you. But there are some things we can't do (because you are the ultimate controller of the game and all) which is why people go to you then.
everyone here cares about the game, so you should care about them.

This is a frustration that's been building up for quite some time, I think; likely on both sides. The way everything is designed and set up, a lot of stuff has to go through Damen that the other admin's can't do or answer. This single point of contact means that whenever there is a more complex problem or question, it all goes to Damen's mailbox. The ticket server helps take care of all the smaller issues; could it become more of a buffer for Damen? I'm not sure that would really be effective, since quite a bit of it would likely just wind back up on Damen's doorstep. But the other question is, is just resolving to set aside a concrete amount of time a day or a week to trawl through mail enough to actually take care of everything? Guess I have no way to answer that.

Couldn't have put it better Sled. In my opinion, anyone can take an hour or 30min out of their day to respond to all the emails they get. I don't want to call Damen lazy because he obviously isn't, but he's being thought of and called way worse because he won't help out his own users directly.

I do check my mail. The illusion of me not checking is created by the fact that I can't keep up with all of the messages.
The fact is, I can't deal with all the little tiny things (which most of my mail is). Imagine if a CEO had to deal with every tiny matter. They can't, they need their admin staff to do those stuff for them. And no offence, but most of my mail is about things can wait.
I have a select amount of people on my iMessage who come to me with the important stuff. If you want me to see your *IMPORTANT* request, send it to Chelsey and she will relay it to me. Don't trust to forums mail.
