OldCP, a game focused around the Damenspike Games HQ Forums community thingy majiggy... Has lost its luster. A lot of people have been noticing this and ALATAR MADE A POST ON THIS 3-4 HOURS AGO GOD DAMN IT!! (STOLE MY IDEA!) But anyway, the game isn't fun. Its horribly imbalanced as sniper rifles are given out like candy at the candystore. Where its become quite evident, that the game has became owned by EA games. Where it has became pay to win.

Imbalancing Issues
One of the major reasons that I personally find the game unappealing is that within the year of 2020, it has became HORRIBLY imbalanced. With the introduction of Sniper Rifles and the nerf of normal guns. At first, Normal guns were op and it was a normal thing. But then they mysteriously got nerfed (idk why so i declare it a mystery). But then Sniper Rifles came along and became a bother, 1 hitting normal people and doing high damage to OP people as well. However the only viable counter to a gun was the lightsaber, a weapon that blocked all bullets from guns. However sabers also recieved a nerf, blocking 3 out of 5 shots instead of all 5. As much as a disapprove of this nerf, it would of faired well with an environment with nerfed guns, however that wasn't the case at all with the introduction of Sniper Rifles.

Another imbalance is the fact that a large portion of the people are infact overpowered or have health improving items. Crimezone has made a lot of god like characters and heroes out of the users. However I disagree with this, it excludes the collective, and makes it so you need to kiss up to the crimezone characters to get recognized. Or randomly return to the game and bam you're now part of crimezone, not even knowing what is going on.

The game has gotten too reliant on OP characters, that the normal people are tossed into the fray and useless. Unless they're given IMPERIAL Armor or have bought an item from create that absolutely makes their health that of Turin (This is an exaggeration). After the creation of the 7 Maiar and the 7 Nazgul of Vaire, the game was never the same. However I believe this correlates with the popularity of iOldCP at the time, as OP people ran rampant on the game and it seemed to be fun but chaotic. But it presents the same problem the exists in OldCP today. This excludes the majority for the minority. The strong absolutely destroy the weak, giving them no fighting chance. Now as someone who is OP myself, I would be willing to lose my OP health if everyone else lost it as well. An exception to this of course would be Gamer became Damen is good friends with him and he's always been OP since like Idk 2014?

Create

Now something that I've seen be an issue is Create itself. I am aware that it brings money to Damens pocket but, it brings up the question, is that the only reason why Damen is interested in the game anymore? The quality of the game has severely dropped since after Dagor Dagorath in early 2019. However this is when iOldCP started to rise up and gain popularity, which of course took from OldCP and then killed it for a few months. However, after the closing of iOldCP, the island of Cobia was created. It had seemed that Damen had regained his drive to make things for the game and have an interesting Crimezone once more with Cobo and everything about it. However, it then stopped slowly. And more create items became purchased. And now in recent months, it would seem that the create items are everywhere. However a big red flag, is Bots. Earthguards and Ents were the first to be purchased (Sorry for driving over you in my bus Kace) but soon other bots had been made as well. Miro had been able to spawn bots for some time but this wasn't used as a way to profit for some time until well, recently. Create items have been made, interesting as they may be, however, attention to improving the game has been drawn away in favor of Create. As it is more profitable and draws the eyes of many.

Things that weren't supposed to be bought on create are now able to be bought on create. Powers and health weren't supposed to be bought and now they are. People are able to buy extra health, buy the ability to spawn bots, buy everything and anything they can under the sun.

Crimezone

Everyones favorite topic, the Crimezone. The game has became centered around the crimezone, but the crimezone has drastically fallen in quality. As I recall, Crimezone used to be events of mystery, for detectives to solve. This eventually fizzled out and became wars that the community would fight against Pythas. However this made Detectives not needed, and they were fizzled out in I think November of 2019. However they were reintroduced in April of this year as there was an attempt to make it more about mystery, but that quickly fizzled out after a month.

I believe that the game had declined due to Crimezone. Crimezone becoming the Keystone of the community was a double edged sword. As I recall, OldCP was a place to hang out with the occasional Black Hawk attacks, but now its became an Empire at odds with the now crumbled New World Order. (I shall get to that) The game used to have fun events and would be themed after parties, but now its just OldCP. Hell even the OldCP bot is gone .

Now a thing that I've not liked since 2018 is that, Evil tends to always lose. Hell its why I left in the first place, you try to win cause you want to have a victory under your belt for the evil, however it never happens. It never happened at the hands of the users of the evil, while the victories from the good usually were at the hands of the good. Now I understand that it is a communal effort from each side, and quite frankly, the Evil side of the community was horribly coordinated. However my point is, Crimezone has become horribly 1 sided. Its never a decisive defeat towards the good side, sometimes a minor defeat but they're always in condition to fight back, with admins and everyone on their side.

That and something that would corelate to imbalance is the fact that its become 2 groups of OP people vs the other. Which is a horrible way to have crimezone in my personal opinion, even though I am within the grouping of this. That and the story of Crimezone is seriously out of order. No one knows what the exact plot is, the exact goal of Pythas or Manwe is. That or, their goal hasn't changed since 2017. Take over or preserve the light.

Technical Issues

As we all know, there are bugs and the game is laggy as hell. However I know why the game lags and I will get to that after my first point. The game used to run a lot better under Rocket. Now why do I say this? Cause I had a sudden drop in skill. The game had become more laggier. The ping of users is awful and makes it a lot harder to fight, as the person with the better ping to the server will ALWAYS win. This is to blame on the VPS, I don't know if its slow or the game itself needs improvement (probably the latter)

The second issue is when you load a room, it loads once. Everyone in the room loads once, however if you were to rejoin, everything would duplicate in memory. I checked the way things loaded in and the swf would load twice or however many times you joined, which made joining a room very bad so sad.

Anyway thats about all I have to say for now. Lets make OldCP fun everyone!

why don't you propose a way to fix all of these issues rather than complaining mindlessly? perhaps supply the money for a new server to reduce lag?

as for imbalanced health, the limit is 200. anyone who has over 200 has items which buff their health (e.g. rings) or have been given power directly from a crimezone god. it's just how the game works. find a way to become stronger. regarding create, it's definitely not "the only reason why Damen is interested in the game anymore" and he's done a lot to make sure the game isn't actually pay-to-win. almost everything that people buy through create is also able to be earned naturally, with the exception of cosmetic items.

I think we should try to do a mixture of whats going on now and 2014-15 things as well. I would like to personally give you my input if that's at all possible
