Was Orome a bad dad? I think he was!

Here are examples of his bad parenting style.

• He made Maria and Melody compete in a beauty contest against each other! His two daughters didn't get along well the way it was. So when Melody beat out Maria in a beauty contest it made Maria feel even more hateful of her sister. She literally went so far as to try to get a wolf to disfigure her. Luckily for Melody this wolf was Mairon and he too fell in love with her for her looks.
• Orome placed too much importance on looks. Because of this, Melody turned to evil when she forever lost her beautiful form.
• Due to Orome's love of Melody because she was more beautiful, Maria felt alienated and joined with Pythas when he went back to evil. If Orome had treated the two daughters equally, Maria probably would not have become a witch.
• Orome played favorites. Who got to rule the forest? Melody. Which of his daughters got spared after turning evil? Melody.
• Orome murdered Maria as he claimed she was too evil to let live. Orome spared Melody though when Melody had been committing the same evil acts. Orome didn't even feel remorse for what he had done to Maria. A few weeks before Orome met his ultimate demise on P3D, he mentioned again how Maria had been deserving of vanquishment and how Melody was so great.

While Orome may have been a decent man, he was a terrible father.

False! Amir is a very loving husband. He forged a sword for me on our wedding day and he made the vulture crown for me when I became Queen of Vultures. He also likes smooching in public! And there are also other things too!

He’s not the best father for Raven but he is a good husband!
