Hello guys! Merry Christmas Eve!! I wanted to talk about something, it is similar to Sadie's post on Do's and Don'ts Online Dating. I am going to do something similar, but it is in genreal, so basically Do's and Don'ts on being online.
Friends
It is great to meet new friends, but sometimes there can be a catch to it
Do's
-Do be kind to them, you can't just bully a random stranger, right?
-Don't get into an argument with an online friend. You don't know who they are, if they are a kid or an adult.
-Do Report a friend who is bullying to a parent, or the owner of the site.
-Don't Trust a friend with any kind on infomation/password
Personal Infomation
Keep Personal Infomation to yourself. I made an example,
Don't do this: Guy: Hey, your 10 right?
Other Guy: Yeah I am 10
Guy: Well, come over to my place. I live in 9999 Bubble Road in Mars (Example I made
)
Other Guy: Okay! I will come.
Then it could be a older man, or a hacker, and no one wants that.
Do's- Do NOT give personal Infomation
Don't - Trust anyone with it.
Online Dating
It is okay to like someone online, but you can't always trust the person on the other screen.
Do- Do Like the person, but don't online date
Don't online date, something can go wrong irl, and it can be an old man.
So yeah, those are my Do's and Don'ts, you can't trust a person unless you know them in real life. I hope this helps users be safe online c:
